Any Access Control system consists of the following functional elements, we begin to enumerate them according to the degree of significance and interchangeability, starting from simpler elements.

All access systems have an access key - an identifier, which is necessary to determine the rights of the user who owns them. Currently, non-contact plastic cards in the main EM-marine format are widely used. Compared to the RFID-identifiers of Proximity, Mifare or iClass standards, Em-Marine cards have the lowest cost with the same functionality.

Reader - the device necessary for transfer of information from the identifier to the controller. Depending on the place of installation, the readers are street and internal, there are readers in the vandal-proof design.

Actuators are locks, latches, turnstiles, wickets, gates and other devices that are controlled by the controller and block access. The choice of a particular type of device is necessary in accordance with the tasks that you need to protect or block.

The main link in the operation of any access system is the controller, the capabilities of the entire system depend on its capabilities in the first place.

The access control should give the benefit of additional security without requiring time-consuming administration. Access Control Systems are intuitive and straightforward to administer. The increased security is an advantage to all, rather than a benefit for some and a headache for those who have to administer it.
